【看英文中國郵報學英文】冬天近了，北部各地花朵綻放，如果你還在考慮週末要去哪裡踏青的話，不妨去桃園大溪欣賞美麗的波斯菊花海！

If you are still considering a spot for a family outing over the weekend, then Taoyuan County should be your top choice. As winter is drawing near, flowers are in full blossom in northern Taiwan.

2019桃園市第五屆花彩節將持續到十二月一日，大片花海成為年輕網紅網美們的超夢幻拍照景點。

The 2019 Taoyuan Flower festival, which runs until Dec. 1, is the perfect destination for the young and the young at heart to take pictures among a sea of flowers.

其中，位於百年李騰芳古宅旁的大溪展區，打造約17公頃花海和10款創意花卉圖騰等著民眾來拍照打卡。

Among other highlights, the Daxi event, which is located next to “Lee Teng-fan’s Ancient Residence” (百年李騰芳古宅), features a 17-hectare flower field as well as smaller fields filled with unique patterns, including a Christmas tree and a teapot.

大溪展區會持續開放到十一月十七日。

第五屆桃園市花彩節總共有三大展區，包括大溪、中壢、平鎮區。

The fifth Taoyuan Flower Festival boasts three main exhibition areas, including Daxi, Zhongli, and Pingzhen districts.

桃園市長鄭文燦出席活動時指出，桃園是北台灣糧倉，擁有廣大的農地面積，甫升格時因面臨缺水危機，中央宣布桃園2萬2000公頃農地需休耕，市府決定利用休耕農地擴大舉辦桃園花彩節，將花肥打造成絕美花海。

The city government decided to plant flowers on display during the land retirement in agricultural fields because the central government urged the farmers to retire lands from production while facing the water shortage, according to Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan (鄭文燦).
