【總統的書單（下）】川普推薦的年度書

歐巴馬在年底公布了2019年的推薦好書，根據《Slate》作家Matthew Dessem的說法，在網路上掀起了一陣懷念歐巴馬時代「美好往日」的風潮。

有趣的是，曾經說自己沒時間看書的現任的美國總統川普也列出了他的年度好書榜。他的書單與歐巴馬大異其趣。

Dessem說，用閱讀習慣來評斷政治人物並不公平，歷史上也不乏熱愛閱讀的獨裁狂人和暴君。不過，如果說選書的品味不能用來衡量總統的品格或治國能力，但至少某種程度上它反映了總統的，呃，品味。

從川普的2019年度選書不難看出，相對歐巴馬選書的廣度和深度，川普的書單雖然是長長一串，類型卻非常、非常、非常專注在特定領域。

簡單來說，川普的書單像是限定川粉專用。光是從書名就不難看出他推薦書籍主題，像是民主黨如何操縱選舉、民主黨如何意圖推翻總統、川普治國的雄才大略、愛國主義、右派基督教信仰、希拉蕊的陰謀。

此外川普也內舉不避親，推薦了自己兒子小川普（Donald Trump, Jr.）的好書：一本關於美國的左派如何用煽動仇恨，把「我們」消音的書籍。

Dessem略帶玩笑的評論說，要預測川普明年會推薦的書單也許不可能，不過要預測它們被推薦的理由應該非常容易。

如果各位有研究川粉的興趣，底下是川普的2019年度選書：

• 《勾結球：選舉舞弊和摧毀總統職位的陰謀》（Ball of Collusion: The Plot to Rig an Election and Destroy a Presidency），作者Andrew C. McCarthy。作者宣稱根據大量證據，「歐巴馬是對川普競選團隊進行間諜式監控的真正幕後黑手」，「企圖運用一切手段讓希拉蕊當選」。

• 《反社會主義的主張》（The Case Against Socialism），作者Rand Paul。主要內容是對美國民主黨三位主要總統參選人個人擁有龐大財富卻在選戰中宣揚社會主義的批判。

• 《國族主義的主張：它讓我們變得強大、團結、自由》（The Case for Nationalism: How It Made Us Powerful, United, and Free），作者Rich Lowry。

• 《支持川普的主張》（The Case for Trump）作者Victor Davis Hanson。

• 《選擇不凡人生：上帝成功出人頭地的七個秘密》（Choosing the Extraordinary Life: God's 7 Secrets for Success and Significance）作者 Robert Jeffress.

• 《深層政府目標：我如何陷入推翻川普總統的陰謀中》（Deep State Target: How I Got Caught in the Crosshairs of the Plot to Bring Down President Trump）作者George Papadopoulos。作者是知名極右派政論家，曾任川普大選時的外交政策顧問。

• 《無罪宣告：「華府沼澤」意圖拉下川普總統的失敗圖謀》（Exonerated: The Failed Takedown of President Donald Trump by the Swamp）作者Dan Bongino。

• 《權力遊戲：希拉蕊選戰失敗內幕與川普的勝選策略》（Game of Thorns: The Inside Story of Hillary Clinton's Failed Campaign and Donald Trump's Winning Strategy）作者Doug Wead。

• 《越努力，越好運》（The Harder You Work, the Luckier You Get） by Joe Ricketts。作者是美國知名富商和川普選戰的大金主。

• 《川普白宮內幕：總統的真實故事》Inside Trump's White House: The Real Story of His Presidency, by Doug Wead。

• 《正義的考驗：卡瓦諾大法案人命與最高法院的未來》（Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court）作者Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino。

•《我們失落的宣言：美國與獨裁政治的對抗，從喬治國王到深層政府》（Our Lost Declaration: America's Fight Against Tyranny From King George to the Deep State）作者Mike Lee。

• 《帕洛瑪想當自由女神》（Paloma Wants to Be Lady Freedom）作者Rachel Campos-Duffy。一本關於少女參觀華府了解美國為何偉大的童書。作者是Fox電視台政論家。

• 《反對總統的陰謀：國會議員努涅斯揭發美國史上最大醜聞的真實故事》（The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Scandal in U.S. History），作者Lee Smith。

• 《奪權：自由派破壞川普、共和黨、和共和體制的計謀》（Power Grab: The Liberal Scheme to Undermine Trump, the GOP, and Our Republic），作者Jason Chaffetz.
