不用飛歐洲！屏東隱藏版絕美教堂爆紅

【看英文中國郵報學英文】屏東縣縣長潘孟安日前於臉書上貼文，分享座落於屏東縣泰武鄉充滿原住民特色的天主教教堂。

Pingtung Magistrate Pan Men-an (潘孟安) touted the beauty and unusual nature of a new Catholic church in the county’s Taiwu Township on his Facebook post on Saturday.

潘孟安如此形容今年10月剛落成的泰武佳平法蒂瑪聖母堂：「這麼美的教堂，不用遠飛歐洲，就隱身在屏東原鄉部落！」

“This is such a gorgeous church. It is in an aboriginal community in Pingtung, so there is no need to take a flight to Europe to see beautiful churches,” Pan said when describing Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church, construction of which was completed in October.

同時，潘孟安在臉書上分享多張泰武佳平法蒂瑪聖母堂的內部、聖壇照片，讚賞著屏東之美。

Calling the church an incredible part of Pingtung, Pan also posted photos of the church showing the interior, including the altar.

這座有著歐式風格的聖母堂結合原住民傳統藝術，只有在屏東才看得見，潘孟安說道。

The church, which Pan described as “European style,” also reflects indigenous aesthetics, which he said is unique to Pingtung.

泰武佳平法蒂瑪聖母堂是55歲杜勇雄神父設計的第12間教堂。杜神父是魯凱族部落成員之一。

It is the 12th church in Pingtung to be designed by Pastor Dominic Tu (杜勇雄), 55, a member of the indigenous Rukai tribe, Pan noted.

潘孟安補充道，縣府特地請在地小提琴家江敬業於10月出版「杜神父與他的12間教堂」，向全世界分享屏東之美。

He added that the County Government commissioned a local artist, Chiang Jing-ye (江敬業), to write a book featuring Tu and his 12 churches, which was published in October with the aim of sharing the beauty of Pingtung with a wider audience.

許多不為人知的特色教堂隱藏在屏東山間小村莊。

There are many other little-known churches with interesting characteristics in Pingtung’s mountain villages, Pan noted.

其中，杜神父1984年設計的霧台鄉耶穌聖心堂就曾名列「世界百大特殊教堂」。

For example, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in the county’s Wutai Township, designed by Tu in 1984, is listed among the top 100 of the world’s churches of special interest.
