新住民媽媽學習無負擔！ 新北60校推免費臨時托育服務

新北市教育局今年和移民署共同編列新台幣600多萬元，補助60所學校提供臨時托育服務，幫全市300位新住民媽媽減輕負擔，讓她們放心進修而無後顧之憂。

The Education Department of New Taipei City Government (新北市教育局) has worked with the National Immigration Agency (內政部移民署, NIA) to allocate more than NT$6 million to subsidize 60 schools that will provide free child care services.

The temporary service will help alleviate the burden of 300 new immigrant mothers in the city, making it easier for them to pursue their studies without having to look after their children during the day.

新北市政府今年2月推出「新住民好學平台」，供新住民查詢課程資訊。教育局表示，目前在新北約有2千名新住民媽媽在各級學校的補校、進修部或成人教育班上課，其中300人申請托育服務。

The New Taipei City Government launched the “New Immigrant Learning Platform” in February this year for immigrants who want to go back to school.

According to the Education Department, there are currently around 2,000 new immigrant mothers in the city attending supplementary schools, night schools, or adult education programs at all levels of schooling, with 300 of them applying for childcare services.

新北市教育局科長林玉婷表示，許多新住民都希望能夠進入職場，因此積極透過各級學校管道學習，增加競爭力與就業機會。考慮到許多新住民媽媽有養小孩之負擔，難以邊顧小孩邊進修，新北市因此每年開放有需求的學校申請臨時托育服務。

The division chief of the department Lin Yu-ting (林玉婷) pointed out that many new immigrants aspire to enter the job market, therefore actively learning through the resources provided by schools to increase their competitiveness and job opportunities.

Considering that many new immigrant mothers carry the burden of raising children and can’t take care of them while studying, New Taipei has opened up application access for schools in need of temporary child care service every year.

今年共投入676萬元經費、聘雇88位托育人力，補助60校提供免費臨時托育服務，成功協助300位新住民媽媽收托400多名新住民子女。

This year, the city government has invested NT$6.76 million, hired 88 childcare workers and subsidized 60 schools to provide free temporary childcare services, successfully assisting 300 new immigrant mothers and took care of more than 400 new immigrant children.

教育局長張明文指出，新北巿每年與移民署共同補助新住民托育經費，聘僱臨時人員及購買托育教材，讓新住民媽媽把小朋友帶來學校就近照顧，並安排繪本、圖畫、積木、認字等分齡托育活動，打造讓新住民安心學習的環境。

The department director Chang Ming-wen (張明文) said that each year, New Taipei City and NIA jointly subsidize the cost of child care for new immigrants, hiring temporary staff and purchasing teaching materials so that the mothers can bring their children to school and take care of them closely.

Age-appropriate activities such as picture book reading, painting, building blocks and word recognition were also arranged to create a friendly environment where new immigrants can learn at ease.
