新冠肺炎又增8人！未滿10歲男童也確診

【看英文中國郵報學英文】中央流行疫情指揮中心今(30)日公布國內新增8例COVID-19(武漢肺炎)病例，三例死亡案例，其中確診案包括7例境外移入及1例本土。本土個案為未滿10歲男童(案299)，為案269本土病例同住家人，3月26日出現發燒症狀，27日由衛生單位安排接觸者採檢，於今日確診，為一起家庭群聚；目前案299已無症狀，本起群聚截至目前共掌握接觸者24人。

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC, 中央流行疫情中心) on Monday reported 8 new imported cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, bringing the total number in Taiwan to 306.

Three deaths (cases 34, 108 and 170) were also reported by the CECC.

Among the new confirmed cases, seven are classified as imported with 1 local infection.

The local infection is case 299, a 10-year-old boy, the CECC said. He is a family member of case 269 and developed feverish symptoms on March 26. He was tested the next day, and the infection was confirmed today.

Case 299 no longer has any symptoms, and health authorities have currently tracked down 24 contacts of the cluster infection.

指揮中心表示，今日新增7例境外移入個案為3女4男，年齡20多歲至70多歲，入境日介於3月2日至22日，發病日介於3月6日至26日；個案發病前活動地包括英國、美國、菲律賓與埃及，其中5人與群聚事件相關。

The CECC announced that the new imported cases include 3 women and 4 men, with ages ranging between 20 and 80.

The imported cases returned to Taiwan between March 2 and March 22 and started showing symptoms for COVID-19 from March 6 to March 26. Many have recently traveled to the U.K. and the U.S., the Philippines and Egypt.

The CECC said that five of the new cases are cluster infections.

指揮中心指出，新增之案300與案257、258就讀英國同一所學校，返國前曾與案258密切接觸。案300於3月22日入境時無不適症狀，25日發病，26日由衛生單位安排採檢，於今日確診；截至目前該校相關群聚共3人確診。

The CECC added that case 300 studied at the same British school as cases 257 and 258 and had close contacts with case 258 before returning to Taiwan.

Case 300 returned on March 22 with no symptoms, began developing symptoms on March 25, with the infection confirmed today.

As of today, the school cluster infection includes 3 cases.

案301於2月20日至3月2日至美國旅遊，返國後於3月6日出現咳嗽症狀至診所就醫並診斷為感冒，因症狀未改善，又分別於3月15日及25日就醫，後續出現發燒、頭痛、氣喘症狀，於28日至醫院就醫並收治住院，經檢驗通報後確診。

Case 301 traveled to the U.S. during Feb. 20 to March 2, and experienced symptoms including coughing on March 6, but was diagnosed as a cold.

As the symptoms didn’t lessen, case 301 sought medical help on March 15 and March 25, respectively, and began showing symptoms such as fever, headaches, shortness of breath…etc.

Case 301 was hospitalized on March 28 and the infection was confirmed today.

案302與案152、222至225及案272等6人就讀英國同一所學校，自3月16日返國至今無疑似症狀，經衛生單位進行接觸者採檢後確診；截至目前該校相關群聚共7人確診。

Case 302 studied at the same school in the U.K. as cases 152, 222, 225 and 272.

Case 302 did not report showing symptoms upon arrival in Taiwan on March 16, but tested positive soon after.

As of now, the school cluster infections have 7 confirmed cases.

案303、304於3月7日至19日與182一同至美國自助旅遊(該團共10人)，2人返國後分別於3月20日及26日發病，經衛生單位安排採檢後確診，為一起旅遊群聚；截至目前該團共3人確診。

Case 303 and 304 traveled to the U.S. with case 182 between March 7 and March 19 as part of a tour group. They began showing symptoms on March 20 and March 26, respectively.

Their infections were confirmed today.

The travel group now has 3 confirmed cases.

案305於2月8日至3月14日赴菲律賓探親，期間曾與案164密切接觸，案305返國後於3月24日發病，經採檢於今日確診。

Case 305 had traveled to the Philippines to visit family between Feb. 8 and March 14. During this time, case 305 had close contact with case 164 and began showing symptoms on March 24, after returning home, and the infection was confirmed today.
