蘇花改最美休憩站 — DAKA生態園區 感受花東暖陽

【看英文中國郵報學英文】位於蘇花改公路出口的第一站，花蓮縣秀林鄉和平村，原本只是個背山面海的小村落，往來的車輛走過路過卻不曾停留過。就在蘇花改公路通車後，這個新開幕的星巴克咖啡廳，成為蘇花改公路花蓮段最新亮點。

Located at the exit of the newly ungraded Suhua Highway, Heping in Xiulin Township, Hualien County used to be a little known small village facing the sea with the mountains at the back. However, after the highway was opened to the public on Jan. 6, a newly designed Starbucks store, became an Instagram sensation in Eastern Taiwan.

這棟原本是台泥廢棄工廠園區所改建的「台泥開放生態循環工廠–台泥DAKA」，星巴克進駐後保留了原本台泥工廠的冷色系水泥質感牆面，以及屋脊式柵欄挑高設計，以東部翠綠山巒作為背景，加上外觀落地採光玻璃，東部暖陽灑進門市，讓每個駐足旅客都能感受到東部自然風光。

The exterior design features grey cement and high roof ridges, blending well with the colors of the “DAKA,” the newly-opened Taiwan Cement Factory Tourism Destination. With the mountains in the background, the Heping store boasts large french windows that bring natural sunlight into the store.

內部裝潢則帶給旅客像是「回家」的溫暖氛圍。飄著咖啡香味的中島吧台，上頭就是大片採光天花板，呼應花蓮在地的山岸風景，無論白天的陽光或是夜晚的月光，透過屋頂光天花板灑落在中島吧檯，咖啡的氤氤香裊撒落的月光，浪漫的氛圍讓這杯咖啡更具情調。

The interior design makes you feel at home too, thanks to its “indoor rooftop.” The aforesaid rooftop stands above the coffee barista table at the center of the store, not only reflecting the images of nature in Hualien but also creating a homelike atmosphere. In addition, the interior design features a glass roof so that you can enjoy coffee and bathe in the sunlight.

「DAKA」太魯閣族語代表「瞭望」，邀請遊客來此瞭望風景、感受原民特色。台泥DAKA園區內除了全台採光最好的星巴克之外，還有水舞秀以及販賣原民特色工藝品的市集。在此休憩、享用美食，逛逛在地特色商品，補充滿滿體力。

DAKA means “lookout” in Truku people’s language. In other words, the place welcomes tourists to enjoy scenic views and experience indigenous culture. Aside from Starbucks, there are fountain show every hour and a market selling a variety of indigenous handicrafts and cuisine. The park will be the coolest rest stop with all kinds of service.

休息後繼續上路，若是開往舊蘇花公路和中至和仁路段，開車不到10分鐘就能遠眺斜躺在太平洋旁的象鼻岩，以及和中海灘。

After a well-deserved break, you can continue the trip and drive toward the section of the old Suhua highway which connects Hezhong to Heren for less than 10 minutes. Then you would arrive at the lookout where you can look over the Hezhong beach and the giant rock which is shaped like an elephant’s trunk.

繼續往花蓮市區方向，約17分鐘過了仁水隧道後，即抵達大清水遊憩區。緊鄰著斷崖而建的休憩區觀景台可遠眺湛藍太平洋，清水斷崖美景盡收眼底。大清水屬河階地形，可以沿著樓梯往下走捕捉不同角度的崖邊景緻。

If you continue southward toward Hualien, you will pass through the Renshui Tunnel after 17 minutes, then you could enjoy the magnificent view of the pacific ocean and the breathtaking Qingshui cliff at the Daqingshui Recreation Area. Also, the observatory platform features a step-like landform so that the visitors can go downstairs and capture the beauty of the cliff from different angles.
