Early Turtle Gets the Worm for Breakfast at Alabama Nature Center

A Gulf Coast box turtle devoured some wiggly worms as part of a balanced breakfast at an Alabama state park on February 6.

Footage released on the Gulf State Park Facebook account shows Homer, a turtle who lives at the park’s nature center, munching on live worms during his morning feeding time.

“He loves worms so much … he even recognizes the container they come in! Box turtles have an array of foods in their diet, including fruits, vegetables, worms, snails, crickets, and more,” the park said on Facebook Credit: Gulf State Park – Alabama via Storyful
