Kyiv Resident Surveys Damage to Home After Deadly Strikes Across Ukraine
At least eight people were killed and 24 injured in Kyiv, Ukraine, after Russian missile strikes across the country on Monday, October 10, according to Ukrainian officials.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that there were attacks in the “Kyiv region and Khmelnytsky region, Lviv and Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Frankiv region, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy region, Kharkiv region, Zhytomyr region, Kirovohrad region, [the] south."
Gen Valerii Zaluzhny, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that Russia “launched 75 missiles, 41 of which were shot down” by Ukrainian defense forces.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said that “according to preliminary data, 19 people were killed and 105 more were injured” during Monday’s strikes.
