Minneapolis Gets Burst of Snowfall Ahead of Winter Storm Forecast to Dump Up to 24 Inches
Parts of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metro area were hit with a “quick moving burst of snow” on Monday, February 20, the National Weather Service (NWS) said, ahead of a thee-day winter storm forecast to drop from 12 to 24 inches of snow.
Footage posted by Twitter user @Jonathan_dfg shows snowy conditions in Minneapolis.
The weather service said Monday’s snow was due to a fast moving low pressure system known as a clipper, and was separate to the storm system forecast to hit from Tuesday to Thursday. Credit: @Jonathan_dfg via Storyful

[NO SPEECH]
- I would say about 30 feet visibility, about a quarter of mile, I'd guess. Just a very light snow right now. St. Paul is going to get hit. So far, there's not that much snow. It just started. But, great. Yeah, fuck off Minneapolis!
