藍鳥在做客坦帕灣的四場系列賽僅取得一勝，今天還讓光芒7次盜壘全數成功，成了3：6落敗的主因。面對這種內容，總教練史奈德（John Schneider）賽後說，「我們在過去十天被打得落花流水，必須做點調整、找回正確態度。」

He did comment on the value of players leading:

由於身處「美東火藥庫」，藍鳥即便賽前擁有26勝24敗、勝率超過五成，今天輸球後還是成為分區爐主，對此，史奈德也很老實地說：「是，這是很困難的分組，但藍鳥仍是支好球隊。今天發生的是小事情，你打的安打比對手多，卻無法控制住速度戰，且對比賽不夠細心，這往後不能再發生。」
