Dozens of Sharks Spotted in Shallow Waters in England

Dozens of sharks were spotted in shallow waters in Sussex the morning of Wednesday, July 15. This footage was filmed at the Medmerry Royal Society for the Protection of Birds nature reserve in the south of England.

The sharks measured up to 5 feet long, according to park warden Peter Hughes, who captured the footage.

“It was astonishing!” he said. “There were just these huge fish everywhere in knee-deep water. We knew in time that Medmerry was going to be a great place for wildlife, but I don’t think anyone expected this! We assume they were coming in to feed on the crabs and other marine life that have made their home at Medmerry.” Credit: RSBP/Peter Hughes
