Rick Santorum Outlines Foreign and Economic Strategy, Says Will 'Get Rid' of IRS

The conservative non-profit organization Citizens United sponsored what it calls “Freedom Summits” in the early primary states of New Hampshire, Iowa, and, on May 9, in South Carolina. Rick Santorum, who announced his candidacy for the GOP presidential nomination on Wednesday, May 27, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, talks about his defense, foreign policy and economic strategies in this video, posted May 26 by Citizens United.

During his speech, Santorum says he was instrumental in creating the economic sanctions that brought Iran to international negotiations about its nuclear plans. Santorum also says the Obama administration bungled its handling of the rise of Islamic State. “We need to ramp up. If these folks mean to bring back a seventh-century version of Islam, then my recommendation is, lets load our bombers up, and bomb them back to the seventh century,” he said.
