Yankees Rule Out Michael Pineda Until at Least September

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman revealed that right-hander Michael Pineda will be out until at least September with the strained forearm that sent him to the disabled list last week. Pineda has a lengthy history of arm problems, including spending all of 2012 and 2013 on the sidelines, so the Yankees are no doubt going to be conservative with his recovery timetable. He got off to a great start this season, but Pineda has mostly struggled dating back to mid-May and has a three point nine seven E-R-A in 19 starts overall.
