泰國超奢華居家隔離 美女專業管家到府服務

Thailand’s super-rich have not given up luxury despite the pandemic that has paralyzed the country and crippled its economy.

貧富差距反而持續擴大，根據世界衛生組織報告，泰國目前是全世界貧富差距最大的國家之一。

To the contrary, the gap between rich and poor has continued to widen; and Thailand is now one of the most unequal nations in the world, according to the World Health Organization.

有些公司在這段期間發現商機，如Silver Voyage俱樂部將門房服務客製化，讓富豪貴婦們可以在封城時依舊享受人生，將豪華美食以黑色轎車送到府。

Some companies have also seen the situation as an opportunity, such as Silver Voyage Club, which has retooled its concierge service to satisfy the cravings of the elite, delivering quality meals from top-notch restaurants in black limousines.

當全球經濟面臨衰退，公司生意下滑，於是在去年10月推出白手套外送服務。

The company launched White Glove Delivery in October last year after its concierge business stalled in the wake of the global business slowdown.

創辦人Jakkapun Rattanapet表示，頂端客戶都是在貴賓銀行工作的富豪，且這項服務僅提供給存款至少有100萬美金以上的客戶。

Its founder Jakkapun Rattanapet said top clients are wealthy individuals working in VIP banks. He said the service is only introduced for account holders who have at least US$1 million at their disposal.

餐點不僅有五星級飯店的米其林料理包括和牛，海鮮和小籠包，門房還會將餐點裝進精緻小盒子以戴有白手套的雙手遞給客人。

Items on the menu include Wagyu beef, seafood and dim sum served in 20 restaurants in luxury hotels listed in the Michelin Guide. Customers’ meals are delivered in carefully packaged boxes with their own distinctive white gloves.

菜單上不再有酒類選項，許多商店仍倚賴外送服務來增加收益。去年，針對曼谷餐廳的限制已被移除，讓顧客能吃飯應酬。

With alcohol no longer on the menu, many grocery stores still rely on delivery to generate revenue. Restrictions on Bangkok’s restaurants were slightly eased to allow customers to eat socially.

許多人可能不知道，泰國有27位億萬富豪，其中，農業、工業聯合企業巨擘富豪家族謝氏榮登富豪榜第一名，總資產價值高達美金270億。

Most people don’t know but Thailand has 27 billionaires, with the Chearavanont family, which heads the agricultural and industrial conglomerate CP Group, topping the list with an estimated value of US$27.3 billion.

據報導，越來越多餐廳仰賴外送應用程式來服務居家隔離的客人。位在曼谷市中心的中國餐廳Dalian的經理表示，光是外送訂單就佔了1萬泰銖（約美金1500元）。

An increasing number of restaurants are also relying on delivery apps to reach customers who stay at home, according to various media reports. Dalian, a Chinese restaurant in downtown Bangkok, reportedly earns about 10,000 baht (US1,500 dollars) a day on delivery orders, according to its manager.

今年因疫情限制了人們的行動，經濟預期將下滑6%甚至更多，即使有數百人發揮愛心捐贈食物，但仍不足以餵飽首都曼谷內數百萬民眾。

The economic downturn is forecast to reach six percent or worse this year as the pandemic has brought with it the inconvenience of restricted freedom of movement. Hundreds have donated food, but not enough for the millions of people in the capital Bangkok.
