老外看台灣／吳鳳受訪竟被問「這行業」有無營業

【看CP學英文】全球疫情不斷升溫，許多國家也開始向臺灣看齊，努力壓低2019新型冠狀病毒（COVID-19) 確診案例。

As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to surge worldwide, many countries are looking to Taiwan for tips on lowering transmission rates within the community.

近期，土耳其裔YouTuber吳鳳接收知名土耳其記者Cuneyt Ozdemir的邀約，與其近56萬名粉絲分享台灣的防疫措施如何有效防止確診案例上升。

Against this backdrop, Rifat, a Turkish YouTuber living in Taiwan, was recently interviewed by renowned Turkish journalist Cuneyt Ozdemir and asked how Taiwan succeeded in lowering its number of confirmed cases domestically.

訪談中，吳鳳指出台灣最初得知武漢有疫情的消息就馬上開始檢驗自武漢入境的旅客，爾後隨即禁止武漢班機入境。

Rifat pointed out that Taiwan’s initial response to news about a possible Wuhan-based virus led local authorities to vet all passengers from Wuhan and enforce a temporary ban on all flights from the area.

再者，台灣從2003年對抗SARS的經驗中學習，在這次的疫情中利用網路和其他社群媒體讓民眾能隨時更新資訊，一起做好防疫效果。

In addition, authorities used their experience from the 2003 SARS epidemic and used the Internet and social media platforms to keep citizens up-to-date, which further helped to prevent the spread of the virus.

訪談中，Ozdemir也稱讚台灣政府在沒有壓迫人民的情況下，成功緩解疫情。

During the interview, Ozdemir praised Taiwan for avoiding drastic measures and strictly enforcing regulations like lockdown measures to contain the virus.

最後，Ozdemir替觀眾發問，請教吳鳳台灣的酒店是否在此期間還繼續營業，吳鳳也誠實的回答因為後來有一位確診案例被爆出是在酒店被感染，後來暫時歇業，待疫情過後再繼續，以確保人民健康安全。

Near the end of the interview, one of Ozdemir’s viewers questioned whether nightclubs are still open in Taiwan, with which Rifat responded that sadly, after one of the infections was traced back to a nightclub, some were temporarily shut to ensure the public’s health.
