淡海輕軌下月慶週歲！3幾米主題列車可愛啟航

【看英文中國郵報學英文】淡海輕軌的「幾米主題列車」上路啦！適逢輕軌通車12月即將通車滿週年，新北捷運公司11月26日起淡海輕軌將延續幾米創作的公共藝術「閉上眼睛一下下」主題，推出3列幾米主題列車。

Danhai Light Rail transit system launched three themed trains centered on Taiwan illustrator Jimmy Liao’s (幾米) artworks on Tuesday, according to a statement released by New Taipei Metro Corporation (NTMC).

The light rail which runs in the Tamsui District (淡水) of New Taipei City will celebrate its 1st anniversary next month.

新北捷運公司董事長陳建宇在25日辦理幾米主題列車週年主題活動發佈記者會上表示，為慶祝通車週年，公司決定推出幾米主題列車。

To mark the anniversary, the company decided to launch trains featuring the works of one of Taiwan’s favorite illustrators, NTMC chairman Chen Jian-yu (陳建宇) said Monday at a press conference.

記者會上開箱的主題列車，車身內外結合小女孩、漂浮帽子與城市意象等繪本圖像裝飾，列車裡還有超可愛的實體繪本主角娃娃，讓遊客搭上輕軌列車就好像走入幾米的繪本世界裡。

事實上淡海輕軌自營運以來最大亮點就是藝術家幾米做的公共藝術設計。

In fact, the works inspired by Liao’s works were installed on the platforms when the train started operations.

包括著名繪本《向左走向右走》、《當月亮忘記了》，六十歲的幾米總共出版了超過60本繪本。幾米的著作以適合成人觀看聞名，身為白血病倖存者，以簡易的對白及異想天開的圖畫，幾米將生命體悟畫進書裡。

Liao, 60, has written more than 60 books that have been published across the world. He is best known for his illustrated books for adults. As a leukemia survivor, Liao devoted his philosophy in the book with simple messages and whimsical images.

幾米主題列車預期可吸引另一波參觀搭乘的人潮，新北捷運公司總經理吳國濟表示，將持續整合淡海輕軌沿線周邊景點與美食資訊，提供給乘客更豐富且深度的旅遊選擇，讓輕軌不僅是觀光通勤的交通運具，同時也是協助推廣在地商店與品牌的助力，為地方發展盡一份心力。

Speaking at the press conference, NTMC general manager Wu Kuo-chi (吳國濟) said the themed trains, which are expected to attract another wave of visitors, will help boost tourism in the area.
