第一次回臺時，對於臺灣古蹟建築情有獨鍾，三峽老街巴洛克式建築與古老的樓房景緻，印象猶為深刻。一大早，整條街顧客熙熙攘攘，絡繹不絕，街邊的菜販正拿著傳統的磅秤親切地為客人服務，嘴邊還念念有詞地說著：「免費送二支蔥！」吸引大批媽媽們的目光，紛紛上前挑菜；旁邊還有小吃販以及烤蕃薯也不遑多讓的沿街叫賣，此起彼落、將整條街吵得沸沸揚揚，喧鬧不斷。最惹人醒目的是眼前這部摩托車正載著全家大小，二個小孩就坐前面，爸爸伸長手臂發動油門，媽媽則坐在後車座，摟著爸爸的腰，一家五口坐在機車上！
臺灣三峽
Busy Morning
A morning in Taiwan. People are constantly shuttling on the street. On the sidewalk, vegetable peddlers are warmly serving their customers with their traditional scale and continually saying, “Two stalks of onions, free!”
A group of housewives rush up to choose their vegetables. There are also food peddlers along the street. The whole street is boisterous, noises continue. A special attraction is a motorcycle carrying the entire family: two children sitting in the front, the father is igniting the engine, and the mother sitting in the back, holding the father's waist. A family of four is riding on the motorcycle!
