網傳影片來自中國影音平台快手發布影片，內容包含兩段影片，經檢視，兩段影片為美國新聞簡報會，內容均與總統蔡英文無關。而網傳影片的中文字幕為捏造虛構，與原音文意不同。
這兩段影片，一段為2021年5月26日白宮新聞簡報會記者問新任發言人尚皮耶上任感想，另一段是2022年5月16日五角大廈發言人柯比答覆記者提問有關俄國與北約內容。
傳言影片「如果中國開始收復台灣，蔡英文逃到美國，美國會收留她嗎問答記者會」虛構捏造字幕，因此，傳言為「錯誤」訊息。
背景
通訊軟體2022年9月8日流一段長度20秒影片，內容分別是一女一男的英文問答。根據影片簡體字字幕顯示為：
「（女性問）：如果中國開始收復台灣，蔡英文逃到美國，美國會收留她嗎？」
「（男性答）：我想你這個問題，問得有些可笑，你想想她的一生都在背叛她的祖國，欺騙民眾，像這種不忠不義，陰險狡詐，不安份，不守婦道的人，留在美國就是一個禍害。」
傳言影片也在社群平台臉書流傳，搭配的文字版本為「美國正在策劃～# 蔡英文宣佈台灣獨立嗎？蔡英文一直都在背叛她的祖國、不忠不義、陰險狡詐、欺騙民眾的叛徒，連美國都不屑給予政治辟護嗎？所以只能滾回去日本祖國吃

爭議點、網傳影片「如果中國開始收復台灣，蔡英文逃到美國，美國會收留她嗎問答記者會」，是否屬實？
（一）查核中心檢視傳言影片英文問答內容，與網傳影片內的簡體字字幕翻譯完全對不上，英文問答均未出現蔡英文的內容，網傳影片英文對答逐字為：
（女性問）of the President in 30 years, just wondering if you could share your reflections
（男性答）...things that we all need to keep in mind. NATO is a defensive alliance, it has never, and it does not now pose a threat to any other nation. And that includes Russia. It's not up to Mr. Putin, or any other third party to get a veto on whether a nation joins NATO…
（二）查核中心以傳言影片「女性問」段落“of the President in 30 years”檢索網路，找到美國yahoo!網站引用美國「魅力雜誌」網站2021年5月28日報導，內容介紹時任白宮副新聞秘書尚皮耶（Karine Jean-Pierre）在2021年5月26日主持白宮新聞簡報會，是首度有公開LGBTQ身分的白宮發言人主持這個簡報會。
文章描述一位記者在簡報會提問”You were the first black woman to stand behind that podium, speaking on behalf of the President in 30 years. Just wondering if you could share your reflections?”，中譯「妳是30年來第一位站在講台後面代表總統發言的黑人女性，想知道妳是否可以分享想法？」提問女記者問題中的“of the President in 30 years”，與網傳影片中女性問題段落完全相同。
查核中心再以搜尋語法檢索美國白宮網站，找到2021年5月26日主持白宮新聞簡報會逐字內容，同樣有出現“of the President in 30 years”問題段落，完整的英文逐字內容為：

上述段落黑色斜體字與網傳影片女性問題段落相同，中譯大意為「妳今天在這裡是在創造歷史。30年來，妳是第一位站在發言台後面代表總統發言的黑人女性。妳是否可以分享自己的想法」。
查詢白宮影音平台YouTub頻道發布的2021年5月26日新聞簡報會全程影像，從影片中11分5秒到11分14秒，即網傳影片擷取內容。

經檢視，該場新聞簡報會內容完全與蔡英文無關，是在場記者問新任發言人上任感想，網傳影片擷取當時記者會影片段落，網傳影片的中文字幕為虛構捏造。
（三）查核中心以傳言影片「男性答」段落透過搜尋語法檢索美國國防部網站，找到五角大廈發言人柯比（John Kirby）在2022年5月16日舉行的新聞簡報會逐字內容，經比對，網傳影片男性答的段落文字確實與當日五角大廈新聞簡報會的內容吻合，柯比當時答覆記者詢問有關俄國與北約的內容。完整的英文逐字內容應為：
柯比答覆：I think I -- look, I'd let Mr. Putin speak for himself. I don't think there was a great shock or surprise that the Russians reacted the way they did about the news of these two countries wanting to join NATO. I think there's a few things that we all need to keep in mind. One, NATO is a defensive alliance, it has never, and it does not now pose a threat to any other nation. And that includes Russia. Two, it's not up to Mr. Putin, or any other third party to get a veto on whether a nation joins NATO or not, that is between that nation and the other members of NATO to decide. And again, there's a multi-step process here. And three, I think we need to remember who is actually the aggressor here, and whose actions probably are motivating those two nations to want to join NATO. And that's Mr. Putin and Russia themselves. They made a decision to invade Ukraine, a nation which also posed no threat to anybody. They made a decision to jump in there with hundreds of thousands of troops and -- or more than 100,000 troops. And they're the ones prosecuting this war in an utterly brutal way. And all of that can stop right now if Mr. Putin made the right decision.

經檢視，該場記者會內容完全與總統蔡英文無關，是五角大廈發言人柯比針對俄國與北約的狀況答覆記者的內容；網傳影片截取當時記者會影片段落後剪接編輯，網傳影片的中文字幕是虛構捏造。
（四）查核中心檢視傳言影片，內容出現中國影音平台快手的帳號資訊，經檢索後，是一帳號在2022年8月24日發布的影片，經比對與傳言影片完全相同。
綜合上述，網傳影片來自中國影音平台快手發布影片，內容截取兩段影片，一段是2022年5月26日白宮新聞簡報會記者問新任發言人尚皮耶上任感想，另一段是2022年5月16日五角大廈發言人柯比答覆記者提問有關俄國與北約內容，影片內容完全未提及蔡英文，網傳影片字幕是虛構捏造。
