1. 103年大學指考初步統計有6萬2111人報名，是歷年最少。103年考試分發入學共有66所大學，核定招生名額4萬2459個，推估加上回流名額後，約5萬個，可能創歷年新低。大學入學考試表示，近幾年繁星推薦、個人申請招生名額和錄取人數逐年成長，影響考試分發名額和指考報名人數減少。
According to preliminary statistics, 62,111 people have applied for 2014 Advanced Subjects Test, which is the least one ever. Sixty-six colleges are approved to provide 42,459 vacancies in the enrollment distribution which is about 50,000 adding the number of vacancies from other enrollments. College Entrance Examination Center indicates that the increasing numbers of enrollment from “Stars Program,” individual application and the admission rate cause to the decreasing number of enrollment distribution and the number of applicants for Advanced Subjects Test.

2. 國中教育會考成績公布方式拍板敲定，教育部表示，除了公布全國性答對題數、能力等級組合等3個表格外，分區資料部分，各就學區將提供「未含志願序的超額比序積分比率及累積人數區間」查詢服務，讓考生可上網查詢，瞭解自己在就學區的相對位置，方便選填志願。

4. 國立中興大學與金門大學，簽署學術交流與合作協議，雙方未來將在學生跨校選課、學生交換、學術資源交流等領域進行合作。今年暑期興大舉辦的英語暑期學校活動，就和金門大學展開實質合作，7 月初的第一期課程在金門大學舉辦，讓來自世界各地的大學生更加了解臺灣離島文化。
National Chung Hising(中興) University signed a cooperative agreement with National Quemoy(金門) University for future academic cooperation. The students of both universities can take credits in the other school; join exchange student and resource communication programs. The English Summer Camp held by National Chung Hising(中興) University cooperates with National Quemoy(金門) University. The courses in the first stage will take place in National Quemoy(金門) University in July to let the college students all over the world realize the culture of offshore islands of Taiwan.

5. 影像教育也是教育重要的一環，文化部影視及流行音樂產業局辦理「第七屆國片暨紀錄片影像教育扎根計畫」，從今年5-11月，將巡迴全台90所中小學校，展開電影體驗課程及巡迴放映活動，希望培養中小學生的電影美學素養。

Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development, Ministry of Culture handle the 7th Domestic Film and Documentary Video Education Program which will go to ninety elementary schools and junior high schools from May to November to open movies-experiencing courses and hold movies-showing activities. 6. 越南胡志明市啟動「車輪上的知識」（the Words on Wheels）行動數位圖書館子計畫，由新加坡志願者引進新的英文和資訊科技學習工具，讓胡志明市內3,000多名的國中、國小學生使用，使學童能分享跨文化學習的樂趣。這項計畫由「新加坡國際基金會」（SIF）協同「普羅科學圖書館」（GSL）合作籌辦，將持續實施三年。
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam starts a mobile digital library program called the Words on Wheels. The volunteers of the program in Singapore lead in English and information technology learning tools for more than three thousand elementary school and junior high school students in Ho Chi Minh City to use. By the learning tools, they can share the cross-culture enjoyment with each other. This program is conducted by SIF and GSL and will last for three years.
