Aerial Footage Shows Flooding in Eugene After Torrential Rain
Heavy rain swelled the Williamette River in Eugene, Oregon, on Monday, April 8, prompting flooding and evacuations.
Aerial footage posted to social media shows the water near Day Island and Alton Baker Park submerging walking paths, lawns, and other low-lying areas.
On Sunday, the National Weather Service in Portland issued flood warnings for several rivers in Lane and Benton Counties. Sunday’s rainfall set a new record for April precipitation, surpassing a mark from 1982, the service reported.
