Amish Horse-Drawn Wagon Helps Remove Ice Shack From Prairie Lake
Brooke Shatley’s dad Jason and his friends had an ice shack on Lake Prairie, Wisconsin for fishing fun throughout the winter. When the time came to remove the ice shack for the season, a layer of slush on the lake presented a problem.
Brooke Shatley told Storyful, “there was no way we were going to be able to get it off the ice with a pickup truck.” Jason came up with a different idea.
He got aluminum skis made especially for the ice shack by a local pontoon company, then drafted in help from two horses and a wagon. Jason drove the horses and successfully moved the ice shack from the lake. Brooke Shatley recorded this video of the successful maneuver. Credit: Brooke Shatley via Storyful
