Arkansas Hospital Shows Behind the Scenes of ICU as Coronavirus Delta Variant Outbreak Spreads

Two fathers in the intensive care unit (ICU) of an Arkansas hospital demonstrated a grim picture of the effects of COVID-19, as the state battled an outbreak of the Delta variant.

The state recorded the highest number of hospitalizations for COVID-19 on August 9, with 1,376 people admitted to hospital while over 280 were on ventilators, according to the state’s health department.
