B-BOY CHAU-LIN: Breaking for me is like pure expression. When I dance I'm 100% myself.
B-BOY ALI: Dancing is an art form. It keeps me level. It keeps me sane in a way.

B-BOY CHAU-LIN: It's very nice to grow up in a breaking community. There's a lot of love, a lot of teaching, a lot of sharing, and you can learn a lot from this culture. I started breaking in 2001 on the streets of Rastatt. And I saw some B-Boys and B-Girls there. They just showed me handstand and some six steps. In my mind, when I saw it, I felt like, yeah, this is for me. I want to do only this.
B-BOY ALI: When I started breaking, you know, we were just a bunch of kids just like doing what we liked. I've competed in a lot of places, a lot of different cities, but never really had in mind that I was going to be able to represent the US, you know, at such a high level.
- Hey, New York, Red Bull BC One Cypher USA.

Ali. Round one.
B-BOY ALI: When I step into the cypher, I just want people to see the raw essence of breaking. I don't really care for the ohs, and the ahs, and, you know-- I just like to represent B-Boys on its truest form.
B-BOY CHAU-LIN: Breaking for me, how it makes me feel, is like I feel free. I can express myself fully what I cannot describe in words. I get to know a lot of people and get to know a lot of places. It really brings people together from different cultures and different backgrounds. There's like a lot of love in this community.
