作為在歐美市場有過輝煌過往的手機品牌，BlackBerry 的興衰史現在要被搬上大銀幕了。據 Variety 報導，這部被簡單命名為《BlackBerry》的新片是由負責過《Operation Avalanche》的 Matt Johnson 執導，主演是 Jay Baruchel 和 Glenn Howerton（多半是扮演創始人、聯合 CEO Mike Lazaridis 和 Jim Balsillie），近期已經完成了製作。
該片是根據記者 Jacquie McNish 和 Sean Silcoff 所著的《Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry by The Globe and Mail》一書改編，會講述初期 RIM 崛起到之後 BlackBerry 被 Apple、Google 超越之間發生的諸多事件。因為原著發行於 2015 年，所以後期品牌嘗試重返榮耀的那段經歷應該是不會出現在電影中了。
