California's Deadly McKinney Fire Captured in Satellite Imagery

Four people have been confirmed dead as the McKinney fire rages through Northern California’s Siskiyou County, the Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services said.

The fire, which has burned 57,519 acres (about 90 square miles), rose to 10 percent containment on Wednesday, August 3, as weather conditions helped fire crews tackle the blaze, Cal Fire said.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office announced that evacuation orders had been reduced to evacuation warnings in some areas, but cautioned residents to be ready to evacuate again.
