Cougar Captured After Prompting School Lockdowns in Utah
Officials in Utah announced the capture of a cougar on February 16 after the animal prompted two schools to go into lockdown.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources shared a video of the cougar that was spotted in Utah County. “We tranquilized him and then released him yesterday afternoon in a remote part of Utah County,” the post said, “It took a few minutes for the groggy cat to get his bearings, but he’s in good shape and should adapt quickly to his new home.”
