- All right, everyone, and we've been tracking the conversations emerging from Crypto Bahamas conference. And Yahoo Finance's own David Hollerith is there and may never go back to Nashville, Tennessee after the time spent there. David, what is the latest?
DAVID HOLLERITH: Well, Brad, it's the end of day three of the Bahamas. And as you can tell I might have gotten a bit burnt from crypto. Bad punchline. But in all seriousness--
- [CHUCKLING] Yeah.
DAVID HOLLERITH: --the conversation-- sorry, there's a little bit of delay. In all seriousness, the conversations have been fairly good and reasonable, I would say, given that there's a whole range of investors here. More traditional focus, large institutions. They just kind of want to figure out how people-- how banks can actually hold Bitcoin, basic things like that.
And then way over on the other side of the building, you know, I've spoken to people who are building on the Solana ecosystem. And they're talking about building something like decentralized betting, sports betting, markets. It goes well beyond my understanding. But it just shows this conference has a really wide range of knowledge and expertise. And everybody is sort of here getting what they want.
The panels, I will say, have not been the focus. I've seen a lot more chatter of just people walking the halls meeting each other. There's been a sort of a sense that you can speak with whoever you want to at the conference, which is, it's a little bit different than-- you see, like, celebrities, things like that. It's honestly-- it's been a great time.
And I think at this point, besides getting out of the sun, the thing that really comes-- swings home to me is Christine Moy, who is, she was a former JPMorgan crypto digital asset team, and she is actually announced today-- she was on a panel yesterday. And she's announced today that she's starting with Apollo Global Management to lead their digital asset team. So that was something that's kind of interesting.
Apollo, obviously, the owner of Yahoo Finance, to disclose that. But she, you know, obviously takes a very high position in the crypto sphere in terms of crypto professionals who are working for institutions with the asset class in mind. So I think that's one-- probably the most interesting thing I've seen out of today.
- All right, get yourself an umbrella drink, would ya? Let's get Bitcoin back above 40 where it was. It has climbed above 40 momentarily, but now we're 39,995. David Hollerith, enjoy the rest of the conference. Thanks for the insights there.
