Deadly Flooding Submerges Roads, Damages Homes in Knoxville Area

Roads were submerged and buildings were inundated after heavy rain brought widespread and deadly flooding to the Knoxville, Tennessee, area on February 23 and 24.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office reported that one person had died early on February 24 after becoming trapped inside a submerged vehicle on South Peters Road in west Knoxville.
