Eerie Drone Footage of Taal Volcano Eruption One Year Later

It’s been one year since the Taal volcano erupted in the Philippines, leaving many families homeless and villages blanketed in ash. More than 5,000 people fled the small island as the ground shook and grey ash poured into the sky on 12 January 2020. The area is now considered too dangerous and former residents have been banned from returning by the government. Small earthquakes can still be felt and weak plumes of steam are visible from the crater.
