Fairytale Castle In The Middle Of LA Hits The Market For Nearly $6 Million

A stunning storybook-style mansion that looks like a castle has been put up for sale in Los Angeles. Known as the Chateau Lemoine, the 4,500-square-foot property is up for sale for nearly $6 million. Nestled in the Mid-Wilshire District's Brookside neighbourhood, the property is just minutes from Hollywood. From the outside, the property looks like something out of a Disney movie. It features ivy-covered outer walls, a cobblestone facade, several turrets, and peaked roofs but the inside is completely renovated with sleek modern touches. The whimsical home boasts four-bedroom, five baths, and a separate guest house. The living room is the centerpiece of the chateau with vaulted ceilings, a minstrel balcony, and a carved-stone fireplace. The landscaping on the one-third acre lot is just as magical with mature fruit trees, cobblestone paths, and a fire pit with a carved-stone seating area. Unlike most medieval castles, the property has a saltwater pool and spa that are surrounded by a spacious patio that was made for entertaining. Chateau Lemoine was built in 1926 by the French architect Earl LeMoine as a birthday gift to his wife who loved the land and the stream that ran through it.
