Footage Shows Dixie Fire Approaching Historic Town of Greenville, California
Newly released footage shows the Dixie Fire as it approached Greenville, California, on August 4, shortly before the town was destroyed.
Video shared by InciWeb on August 9 shows the town’s Main Street before it was razed by the wildfire. The Plumas County Sheriff had ordered Greenville residents to evacuate on August 4, warning of “imminent danger.”
Footage of the town taken later on August 4 showed structures and vehicles in flaming ruins.
