JULIE HYMAN: The chart of the day is of Google search volumes for food stamps, the term food stamps. They hit an all-time high back in April 2020, this according to DataTrek. But they are still running 100% higher than pre-pandemic levels, according to this chart. DataTrek pinning the blame on stubbornly high food inflation, walloping consumer budgets. As we talked about earlier, wages are rising, too, but not fast enough to match what we've seen in inflation. So sobering reminder here of what people out there are dealing with.
