Grain Silos at Beirut Port Collapse on Second Anniversary of Explosion

Another section of Beirut’s iconic grain silos collapsed on August 4 during a demonstration marking the second anniversary of the deadly port explosion of 2020.

Protesters took to the streets earlier in the day, two years after the devastating blast that killed more than 200 people.

The collapse follows an earlier crumbling of the remaining silos on July 31 after they had smoldered for days due to a grain fire inside. Credit: @hashem______ via Storyful
