Hundreds Evacuated as Wildfire Spreads in Brittany, France

Some 300 people were evacuated after a wildfire broke out in the town of Brasparts in Brittany, France, on Monday, July 18, the local government said.

According to officials, the fire broke out Monday afternoon and spread to 1,400 hectares by Tuesday.

France’s weather service warned of a high fire danger from Monday through Thursday due to a heatwave in the country.
