Jet Passenger Captures California’s Glass Fire From Plane Window

An airline passenger captured footage of the devastating Glass Fire burning thousands of feet below in Calistoga, California, on September 29 while on a flight bound for San Francisco from Spokane, Washington.

Uploading the video to Facebook, the passenger commented, “I’ve seen a couple fires from a plane, but nothing like this.”

The Glass Fire had burned more than 60,148 acres in California’s Sonoma and Napa counties and was six percent contained as of Friday, October 2, according to fire officials.
