Meta stock falls on Atlantic Equities downgrade

AKIKO FUJITA: Well, a bearish outlook on Meta is weighing on the company's shares today. We have seen a pullback in that stock after Atlantic Equities downgraded it from overweight to neutral. And you see that stock now down more than 3%. Analyst James Caldwell citing, increasing competition for online ad dollars and a challenging macro environment as key headwinds for earnings growth.
This comes as Meta kicks off its developer conference Meta Connect today. CEO Mark Zuckerberg is expected to unveil the firm's latest mixed-reality headset. That begins at 1:00 PM Eastern.
