OECD warns of major shock to global economy from Russia-Ukraine war

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has warned of a major shock to the global economy from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In its latest report, the OECD estimates that it could wipe a percentage point off global economic growth this year, and drive up inflation by 2.5 percentage points. Chief Economist Laurence Boone has told FRANCE 24 that European Union countries could see an even bigger hit to growth from the conflict.
