Polar Bear Rolls Blissfully in Ice as She Recovers From Surgery

This polar bear was the picture of bliss as she rolled around in a pile of ice at Utah’s Hogle Zoo recently.

Footage shared by the zoo on May 6 shows their bear, Nora, enjoying the ice in her temporary enclosure, where she was recovering from surgery to repair a broken humerus bone.

According to the zoo, Nora was temporarily staying in a small holding area instead of her usual habitat, just in case she got too rambunctious in her play and injured herself during her recovery. Credit: Utah’s Hogle Zoo via Storyful
