Pompeii's 'Sistine Chapel' reopens to the public

STORY: Known as 'Sistine Chapel', the house was owned and named after two wealthy former slaves Aulus Vettius Conviva and Aulus Vettius Restitutus.

Lavishly decorated, the house is renowned for featuring erotic frescoes depicting tales from Greek mythology such as Priapus, a Greek fertility God.

On every tourists' itinerary with a kaleidoscope of colors and images, 'Sistine Chapel' has been closed to the public since 2001.
