TAIPEI (TVBS News)—Set against the backdrop of the National Theater and Concert Hall, the 2024 Presidential Office Concert on July 20 will celebrate "The Power of Freedom," cheering on Taiwanese athletes heading for the Paris Olympics (巴黎奧運).

Lee Hou-ching (李厚慶), secretary-general of the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC), announced the theme Monday, marking the first time the concert coincides with the Olympic Games. "We aim to bolster our athletes' spirits through music," Lee stated.

According to Lee, "The Power of Freedom" represents Taiwan's cherished values.We want our athletes to excel and showcase Taiwan's 'Power of Freedom' on the global stage," he added. The concert's main visual, "Glory Takes Flight" (榮耀展翅), designed by MixCode, features vibrant multicolor imagery to honor the athletes. MixCode has previously managed visuals for the Golden Melody Awards (金曲) and Golden Horse Awards (金馬獎).

The concert's program will mirror the phases of athletic competition, with segments titled "The Start of the Game," "Surpassing Oneself," "Embracing Challenges," "Consolidating Cooperation," and "Glory Confidence." Further details, including the lineup and additional information, will be progressively disclosed on the official GACC social media channels.
