Sky Darkens as Tropical Storm Elsa Rolls Into Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia
Tropical Storm Elsa rolled into the Blue Ridge Mountains in Botetourt County, Virginia, on the morning of July 8 as it moved up the East Coast.
The National Hurricane Center reported on the afternoon of July 8 that the storm was bringing “heavy rains” to Virginia as it moved northeastward over North Carolina.
