Smoke Billows From Dyer Mountain as Dixie Fire Grows

Large smoke plumes billowed above Dyer Mountain, California, as the Dixie Fire grew to more than 490,000 acres on August 10.

This footage, taken by an ALERTWildfire monitoring camera, shows smoke plumes emanating from the blaze, wafting above Dyer Mountain.

Local CAL FIRE authorities said that 68 fire crews and over 5,900 personnel assigned to help combat the blaze.
