Smoke Hangs in Air From Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak Fire
Smoke from the Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak fire hung in the air at Romeroville, New Mexico, on Monday May 2.
Fire officials reported the combined Calf Canyon and Hermits Peak fire spanned 120,653 acres (about 188 square miles), mostly in the Santa Fe National Forest, and was at 20 percent containment as of May 2.
