Smoke Rises From Jersey City Scrap Metal Fire

Smoke from a two-alarm fire in a scrap metal yard in Jersey City, New Jersey, on April 25, could be seen from Manhattan, Brooklyn, and other parts of New Jersey, according to various posts on social media.

The New York City Emergency Management System warned that smoke may be seen or smelled by “residents in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island.” At the time of writing, news reports said no one was injured in the blaze.
