Storm Lashes Norman, Oklahoma, Amid Tornado Warnings

Norman, Oklahoma, was subject to lightning, heavy rain, and strong winds as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of tornadoes on Sunday night, February 26.

Footage from Tyler Pardun shows the scenes in Norman shortly after the NWS said it believed a tornado had passed through the southeast of the city. Pardun tweeted that he witnessed a tornado, but official confirmation had yet to be made at the time of writing.

The NWS issued multiple tornado warnings for Oklahoma on Sunday night (see here and here). By the early hours of Monday, the area was clear of severe thunderstorm and tornado watches. Credit: Tyler Pardun via Storyful
