Streams of Molten Lava Flow from Icelandic Volcano at Night

An Icelandic videographer captured spectacular footage of a network of glowing lava trails on March 21, following a rare eruption on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula.

Aerial footage, by Hero Productions, shows bright orange trails of molten lava pouring from the Fagradalsfjall volcano in the Geldingardalur Valley area at night.

The Icelandic Meteorological Office said the eruption was small and had followed an uptick in seismic activity in the region. Credit: Hero Productions via Storyful
