Strong Winds Damage Hardware Store Roof During Bomb Cyclone

Strong winds damaged the roof of a hardware store in Crescent City, California, on November 26 as the so-called bomb cyclone moved over the northern part of the state.

In a video shared by the California Highway Patrol, debris can be seen flying through the air as pieces of an Ace Hardware store were ripped off by the wind. The video was taken from inside the office of the Highway Patrol. Dark clouds and rain can also be seen outside.

“We’re not in Kansas anymore Toto!!” the Highway Patrol said on Facebook.

“Do not underestimate the power of this storm! Stay home and do not travel unless necessary. Ace Hardwares roof peeling off and coming into our back parking lot.”
