It's the first time the Mushroom Kingdom has opened its doors in North America

with vibrantly colored coin blocks, warp pipes, and Piranha Plants

The theme park is meant to provide an immersive experience for Nintendo fans

It's the second park of its kind after one in Osaka, Japan and features a real-life ‘Mario Kart’ game

Visitors can also eat at Toadstool Café and grab Nintendo swag at the ‘1-UP Factory store’

“So you can go around and you can have your power-up band, you can tap a power point, you can play the games and score points and get your stamps and actually then ride on Mario Kart the ride. Actually I've ridden it about 200 times. The repeatability is really what's amazing because I learned something new every time."
