Ten killed in Ireland gas station explosion
STORY: Police in Ireland say a gas station explosion that killed ten people - including two teens and a younger girl - appears to be a 'tragic accident.'
"...it is not expected that there will be any further casualties located and there are no outstanding reports of unaccounted for persons.”
A local lawmaker for Creeslough in the county of Donegal said Friday's massive explosion was heard from miles around.
It happened during a busy time at the end of the school day.
In a statement Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin called the incident an 'unspeakable tragedy' for the small community of just a few hundred people.
And on Saturday, people gathered at a local church service, trying to support one another.
“It’s good to see that the people have rallied around, and a massive crowd here this morning shows you that we are a tight-knit community, and we’ll continue to do what's best for all the people that have suffered bereavements.”
Eight other people were hospitalized, including one in critical condition.
