DAVE BRIGGS: All right, it's closing time here at Yahoo Finance. Let's get you caught up on some of the biggest headlines of the day. We've got another sign inflation is cooling. Producer prices fell in March with the producer price index falling a half a percent from a month earlier. Stripping out the more volatile food and energy components, prices fell a tenth of a percent. That sent stocks higher with the Dow closing higher by 383 points. And check out the NASDAQ, up 2%.

RACHELLE AKUFFO: And of course, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy updating shareholders in his annual letter. Jassy addressed everything from the company's cost cutting measures to the tech giant's AI plans. He also discussed a warning, issued a warning about its AWS business, saying the unit, quote, "faces short-term headwinds" as companies start to pull back on spending.

DAVE BRIGGS: And finally earnings season kicks off tomorrow with JP Morgan, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo all reporting their first quarter results. Given the chaos with regional banks the last several weeks, we'll be listening closely to what earnings call say about CEOs in the banking sector. That'll do it for today's Yahoo Finance Live. Be sure to come back tomorrow, 3:00 PM Eastern time, for all your coverage leading up to and after the closing bell. For Rachelle Akuffo, I'm Dave Briggs. We'll see you tomorrow.
